Hello children.
I rented chef's tape of the Southpark series. I don't know what
I ever thought was so hilarious about it. Yes...on a boring
lonely saturday night, it's funny. But Southpark is not exactly
on my list of things to do right now.
Ah how priorities change.
SO.
I handed out more resumes today. I even got all dressed up for
it too. I was looking for like some retail clothing or some shit...
because that's all I'd noticed signs up for. Black flares,
fitted black fleece, and a spicey red fitted pleather jacket.
My first choice was a more business-like, longer lengthed beige
jacket, but...the red jacket was more comfortable. And I
thought it was more stylish. Ah. We'll see.
[this part's for clara,
the make up nut. :)]
Along with the threads, I needed some make up. Truely...my
inconsistencies run strong. Some days I spend an hour on my
make up, some days, none. (did i hear a gasp?)
So. Right now I'm using Clinique's foaming cleanser...which is
for dry skin...and I REALLY love this stuff. My skin feels so
soft after using it...it seems to glow the day after too. After
a washing my face in the shower with Clinique, I followed it
up with their yellow moisturizer..you know which one.
I don't know about this moisturizer. I don't think it's doing
it's job. Sometimes my skin just feels drier after using it.
Anyways. After moisturizing, and spritzing my hair with physique's
volumizing spray (okay as a volumizer...but it's a little
sticky), I applied some of MAC's satin NC30 foundation
with a moistened wedge sponge. Prescriptive's concealer under
the eyes.
For today, I just lined my lips with MAC lipliner in mahogany,
then filled in with a lipbrush (clinique's everything brush.)
MAC's Del Rio.
I swear...after that
day when the guy from the bar said I had nice lips and
puckered up and blew a kiss at me, I've been so pumped about
my lips. I know that Chinese traditionally favour thin lips.
But I definately have full lips. Wierd shaped though. It's okay
though. they're "nice lips". :)
It was a simple look today. I topped it off with Vex, also from
MAC, with brush #29 from MAC as well. (notice a trend here?)
Vex is very cool. It's sort of a hologramic color, slightly
grey yet slightly pink. So just a wash of Vex, a little black
eyeliner on two thirds of the upper lashline, and some brow
powder and brow gel.
Okay looking. Conservative, yet fun with the red jacket.
There's a paper Tim Horton's cup that has been lying on its'
side for about a month in the lecture hall. It's to the left
of where I always sit.
Well not always.
I'm left handed. ...tsk tsk to all you right handed people
out there. do you KNOW how hard it is to live in your world?
In lecture halls, the left handed seats are often limited. I
remember back at SFU, there was even one that only had leftie
desks at the very far back row. THAT was crazy.
What's crazier still is at culinary school each student had a
rectangular basket to store their knives in on the work tables.
VERY often, people would "borrow" one of my knives and put it
back RIGHT handed. Which means the next time I reached down
to get MY knife, I'd be reaching for a blade. Jeez, you people.
;p
And I wink only as I shake my head.
Usually, as with the seating today, the leftie seats are on the
left side of the lecture hall. I simply CANNOT sit farther than
three to four rows away...I am SO easily distracted.
But I am fighting for these four seats with three other people.
ONE (of these three) are actually left handed. The other two
use the seat as their baggage compartment.
Poor me.
Please....all you right handers...give up that precious leftie
seat for a REAL leftie. She needs it!
cyn is a c-section baby too!!
Yes. In addition to being left-handed, yours truely is ALSO a
c-section baby. Which my mother will NEVER get tired of telling
people.
"oh yes...that girl..she's a BACKWARDS girl. Left handed...
right brained..she would have come out backwards too!"
My hypothesis is that I didn't want to come out. It's a
scary scary world out here guys...
Anyone watch cartoons as much as I do? Even before I was unemployed,
I LOVED cartoons. Maybe it's from being deprived of Saturday
mornings as a child.
...Rugrats anyone? I would definately definately be Chuckie
from the Rugrats. He's a four eyed scaredy cat. And he's loyal.
Also....I hear that Disney's Recess is making a big-screen
movie...VERY cool. And over at
family, they're also having a contest...write an essay
about your favourite Recess character, win some prize. My fave
character? Spinelli, because she's a spunky bitch.
I got some response from the "serviette" rant I posted yesterday.
No one knows what my
outdated pads symbols mean. I guess that's
why they changed it.
I did, however, receive a couple interesting ("what where they
thinking") sites:
from mary,
allways,
and cottenelle.
Yes. What were they thinking indeed.
heh. Actually I think I was using "serviettes" in place for pads
to sound less...I dunno. rude? But pads it will be. Serviettes
sounds so ..British.
Oh boy. Did I tell you what happened last weekend? Not like it's
really big or anything. I was really stoked to have found a
download for Burgertime. Remember??? BURGERTIME. So I download
it from some site and manage to play it a couple times before
my brother kicks me off the computer.
..and then he calls me back.
The computer wouldn't load anything BUT burgertime.
After a little panicking, we (well he.) manage to alter autoexec.bat
file NOT to load up burgertime..(ms dos...doskey?) ..I missed
that game. :(
