Where have I been you might ask, I mean after all it's been what... two or three months since I last updated. I wish i could tell you I've been on a spiritual journey, or finding myself or in a turkish jail or something deep, or adventurous like that. I haven't. I have been exploring other avenues of writing that I don't particularly want to share here. I haven't felt like giving the blow-by-blow day to day reports like I used to. Truth is, Firefighting is exciting and interesting, it's thrilling and it's fun. It's what I do, and in some ways it's who I am. However, I'm sick to death of writing about it. Sure, occasionally I'll find a story or two I want to share, but I suspect I won't be writing about it as much as I used to. I hope to update this page more frequently in the future, but truth be told I'm not going to stress myself about it. You can expect more pictures, because my interests have moved that way recently. I hope to write more, but I make no promises. To the two of you who have written with concerns that I'm not writing, well all I can say is that I'm honoured that you like what I write, but lately the well has felt more than a bit empty.

Anyway, I've updated. we'll see how it goes from here. email me if you'd like, perhaps I can get inspired by meeting other readers.
